Reporting issues
Before reporting the issue, please make sure you've done what you can to validate the problem and attempt to resolve it directly.
The validation process required collecting specific details of the issue. If you're not able to resolve it yourself, then please relay the details to Bookanet.
Don't feel bad if the answers to these feel obvious - it's better to be explicit here and state the obvious, than to omit it and assume it'll be conveyed.
- State the problem concisely in a single sentence.
- Describe the incorrect/observed behaviour.
- Describe what would be the correct/desired behaviour.
- Have you attempted to reproduce the issue? When you did so, did you see the described behaviour?
- Does the issue affect one or many users? If many, how many users have reported it?
- When did the issue occur? This might be indicated by the time of a phonecall or email from the user.
- For system or website issues, provide the text or a screenshot of any error message observed.
- For access or resource issues, provide some access codes and times of entry that the codes were attempted.
- For booking or pricing issues, provide the order ID of any orders in the system that the user completed.
- For pricing issues where the user didn't complete the order, obtain and relay the specific details of the intended purchase.
It's helpful to include screenshots or explicit steps to reproduce the issue as well if you at all can.
